Reading Borough Council have closed Battle Library for the summer for refurbishment, which left us looking for an alternative venue.
Fortunately we’ve now settled into the Pavilion at the town end of Oxford Road – this is the converted cinema that used to be Rileys snooker hall, on the corner of Oxford Road and Russell Street. Sessions are on Friday mornings from 10.15 to 12.00 midday.
Just come along and ask – we’re in the cafe down the stairs from the entrance lobby (there is also a wheelchair-accessible entrance in Russell Stret – please ring the doorbell to be let in). Free wifi is available, and we have a laptop that you can use if you don’t have your own. The cafe is open serving breakfasts, drinks and snacks. We hope to be able to go back to Battle Library in September, and at that stage will consider whether to run sessions at the Pavilion as well.
We look forward to seeing you!
